Challenge Florianópolis 2026

Challenge Florianópolis begins with a swim at sunrise from Jurerê Internacional beach on Brazil’s Santa Catarina coast. This Challenge Family triathlon takes place in Florianópolis, the state capital, offering Middle Distance and Sprint races, scheduled for both the first half and later in the season. The swim takes place in calm, moderate water. The bike course begins along the coast before moving inland, and the run returns through the central streets of Jurerê Internacional. The bike leg is largely flat and fast within the tourist area, though it includes technical turns. Sections of the route offer views of the Beira-Mar Norte coast. Over 1,000 age-group athletes participate. The host city enhances the event: Florianópolis is nicknamed “Magic Island,” boasts approximately 100 beaches, and is Brazil’s second most popular destination for international visitors.
